How to Use Reptile-Specific Heating Pad
There are several ways to utilize the reptile-specific heating pad:
- First Method: Since young turtles are not suitable for deep-water cultivation, using regular heating rods for heating becomes impractical as they require a water depth of at least 5 centimeters. However, turtle hatchlings are usually kept in water with a depth of only 1-2 centimeters, similar to the height of their shells. In this shallow water condition, you can employ the reptile heating pad to provide the required warmth. As the turtles grow and the water level can be increased, you can switch to using heating rods for heating, making the heating pad a suitable solution for ultra-shallow water temperature regulation.
- Second Method: The heating pad is suitable for various acrylic and plastic feeding boxes, placed at the bottom to effectively create floor heating, providing warmth for pets.
- Third Method: The heating pad is also applicable for heating the bottom of various glass tanks. It should be noted that the glass tanks mentioned here are for reptile keeping, not for fish. Fish tanks typically have a deeper water level, requiring heating rods. However, the heating pad is designed to offer heat for reptiles.
- Fourth Method: The heating pad is equally applicable for heating the bottom of various metal boxes. Since metal boxes may have fewer lamp fixtures or even none, the heating pad can be used for warmth. It is suitable for reptile metal boxes, plastic containers, and other similar enclosures, including spiders, scorpions, turtles, and other reptiles.
The reptile heating pad is suitable for winter heating and insulation of various small to medium-sized reptiles. It comes equipped with a power regulator, allowing you to adjust the power as needed, providing convenient temperature control.
The surface heating temperature of the heating pad generally ranges from 30 to 40 degrees Celsius, with slight fluctuations depending on the ambient room temperature.
【Instructions】Place the heating pad at the bottom of the enclosure or reptile tank for use. The excellent heat transfer of the pad mimics the natural environment, such as conducting heat through rocks or sand for animals. When providing heat to your pets, ensure sufficient ventilation and a cool area to prevent overheating.
